With such a diverse range of shopping experiences available, it's hard to know where to start.

We've put together this snap-shot of shopping precincts so you can more time browsing the shelves and admiring your purchases.

Rundle Mall

Rundle Mall is the beating heart of the Adelaide shopping scene.

The first pedestrian-only mall in Australia and still Australia's longest, it boasts and impressive 700 retail stores, 300 services,15 arcades and centres, three department stores and three supermarkets.

Rundle Mall is home to many iconic names, from Australian favourites Haigh's, RM Williams, Myer and David Jones, to exclusive flagships H&M, Sephora and Tiffany & Co.

There's always something happening in the Mall. Throughout the year, Rundle Mall plays host to major events, pop-ups and activations, spruik events and activities, and there's are always buskers to amuse and entertain you.

Kids of all ages stop for a photo with Truffles, Horatio, Oliver and Augusta, the four life-size pigs in the art installation ‘A Day Out’ by Marguerite Derricourt, while the ‘Mall’s Balls’ (officially known as ‘The Spheres' by Bert Flugelman) has been a favourite meeting place of locals for generations

When the retail therapy has worked its magic, you can stop, relax and watch the world go by at one of the many great coffee spots, cafes and eateries.

Rundle Street

Rundle Street is the home to fine fashion and equally funky places to eat and drink.

Set in the cosmopolitan East End, the many laneways and  buildings may be old, but they house some of the trendiest designer outlets, beauty establishments and places to be seen.

Australian designers Tigerlily, Gorman and Zimmerman all have outlets on Rundle Street, while in Ebenezer Place a visit to Midwest Trader will make you feel like a rock n roll outlaw.

If you're after a groovy gift or something gourmet, make a beeline to Rundle Street where you'll find purveyors of unique local and imported goods, all designed impress.

You'll find some of Adelaide's best restaurants in Rundle Street, so when you need a break, you'll find something to suit your taste and budget.

North Adelaide

Just across the river, only minutes away from the city centre is the lush precinct of North Adelaide.

The beautiful tree-lined streets of O'Connell Street and Melbourne Street are filled with a range of unique boutiques, cafes and restaurants.

Ladies, you're sure to find something different in the fashion outlets, and there's a range of boutique beauty services to complete your look.

At the heart of it all is the North Adelaide Village, where you can grab your groceries and gourmet delights, or work off last night's cake at the gym.

South West

The city's South West is one of the most diverse and colourful areas.

It's most famous shopping landmark is the iconic Adelaide Central Market, where Adelaideians have been getting their fresh produce fix for over 150 years.

The surrounding arcades contain a variety of offerings, from health stores to bakeries and butchers, spice shops and an array of Asian grocery stores.

Wander down the near-by side streets and you'll be treated to a range of quirky boutiques such as Push Pin Vintage in Compton Street.

When you're ready for a bite to eat, Gouger Street has an international smorgasbord of restaurants to choose from. They'll fill your tummy, but not empty your wallet.
