SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival

August

The South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival is a state-wide festival of Visual Art.

Established in 1998 to promote and celebrate the many talented visual artists in South Australia, with the aim of extending audiences which remains a cornerstone of the festival.

Adelaide literally becomes an open gallery as exhibitions and artworks make their way into unexpected places, like your favourite coffee shop or restaurant, cinemas, bars, libraries and even retail stores!

The festival is inclusive of artists at any level and working in any medium, so expect to see art in all its glorious forms; paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, collage and mixed media, just to name a few.

All artists and all venues are encouraged to participate.

The City of Adelaide is a proud supporter of the SALA Festival and of Adelaide’s artistic and creative communities.
