Adelaide Cabaret Festival

June

Every June, the Adelaide Cabaret Festival sweeps through the city to present an eclectic program of classic and contemporary cabaret performances. There’s glitz, glamour, singing and dancing – mixed with a generous dash of satire.

Founded in 2001, the Cabaret Festival was founded by Frank Ford who also paved the path for the Adelaide Fringe. Since its inception, the Festival has amassed a loyal following of musical theatre buffs with over 50,000 people coming to bask in the best of emerging and established artists from across the globe.

As one of the world’s most comprehensive cabaret festivals, the Festival has set the stage for local heroes such as Dame Edna Everag, Olivia Newton-John and Tim Minchin and also welcomed global stars like Dita Von Teese and Natalie Cole.

The Adelaide Economic Development Agency and City of Adelaide are proud supporters of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival.
