Beyond the City

While there are many activities and to-dos in the city and North Adelaide, you’ll find great experiences beyond the city as well. Here are a few recommendations to make your stay memorable.

Head For The Hills

Just a short drive or a short bus trip away, the Adelaide Hills are full of quaint villages, gorgeous vineyards, country farms and small towns.

Stop at Mount Lofty for some jaw-dropping views of the city and Cleland Wildlife Park for some up-and-close experiences with the Aussie wildlife. Skip across to Hahndorf and enjoy some authentic German beers and delicacies. It is also worth checking out Stirling and Aldgate nearby for their charm. Autumn in the Adelaide Hills is when it truly comes out alive.

Hop, Skip and Jump to Kangaroo Island

One of SA’s most popular attractions is the natural wonder of Kangaroo Island. Trips are available to the island every day of the year, varying in length and cost.

Spend a couple of nights amongst the incredible landscapes, turquoise beaches, visit a world-class gin distillery and enjoy wildlife encounters.

Time For Wine

In the Barossa, you’ll find German history mixed with the State’s biggest producers of bold Shiraz while McLaren Vale is known for its contemporary inventiveness and stunning sea views.

Daily tours are available from the city to both regions, or if you’re looking to make your own adventure, each is easily accessed and navigated by car.
